Many of the different countries seize on the opportunity to showcase their latest products on an international stage, as well as see the best exports from other countries that can cover trending demands in their local economies. “The fair was a success for us,” said Tarcízio Tadeu, CEO of the Brazilian foreign trade company Tadelui, from Espírito Santo. “We brought several products, including coconut, which is our flagship product; liquid cheese bread, which is a unique product, and cassava gnocchi,” he said. “We have participated in the fair since 2006, presenting small producers from Brazil and opening international doors for them. By following the procedures that the government requires to sell in the American market, it is possible to be successful”, says Tarcízio.

The Conference also provides an opportunity to see premier LATAM products incorporating next generation ingredient sourcing and brand innovation. The Hispanic-owned energy drink Patria utilizes clean green coffee extract like that available in the new generation energy drinks already seen in the United States, and combined in their it with the natural cane sugar more reliably found in Latin American drinks to provide a quick energy rush without the crash later.

Multiple “beverage islands” were spread throughout the conference hall to keep things lively. Showcasing a the latest seltzer mixes, fruit extracts, and spirits for use in mixology each booth was set to feature new flavor innovations in ready to come to your neighborhood bar. Peru and Panama in particular had very full-bodied aged rums on display hoping to one day become more readily available in the United States.
